It was during Lent of 2020 when the pandemic turned all of our lives upside down. Since our church could no longer meet in person my pastor asked if I could record three songs to accompany a sermon that he would email out to the congregation on Sunday morning. I had never really recorded alone before but I was happy to try. Eventually, those first few recordings turned into well over one hundred songs that spanned the whole church year.
Throughout the waiting and the darkness making this music has been an act of worship for me. It's helped me to turn loneliness into solitude and I've found great comfort in sharing these songs with my church. None of the recordings are perfect but each one has a little something that has kept me listening. I hope whoever finds this collection of songs can hear hope, rest, and peace in this music.
